On a motor show in Frankfurt absolutely unexpectedly for all the premiere of the new version Russian super car Marussia has taken place. The car has received index B2 it is a second variant of "Marussia", and all them can be … as much as necessary. According to the main ideologist of creation of the first Russian Nikolay Fomenko's super car, its company is capable to develop almost any body for short enough term. It is interesting that in Frankfurt Fomenko has shown at once three cars – besides B2 at the stand there were two more models with body В1. But the main nuance consists that cars are made of different materials: at white Marussia and at dark blue В2 bodies carbon, and at a white-blue car … the basalt.

The car looks rather interestingly, and body panels are adjusted to each other aloud better, than on the pre-series sample. The interior of the presented cars is finished by a skin, and internal furnish, probably still will lead up to mind. According to Nikolay Fomenko, welding of power structure of a body is in general its pride. It here even is better, than on … Ferrari.

At present Fomenko's company has already 17 orders. Completely paid orders! Each car costs to 4 million 460 thousand roubles, or an order 100 000 euros. Besides, in Russia there was even an interior on sale Marussia with the service-centre, and soon there will be also a second dealer.

«We in general wish to leave soon on level of 3000 cars in a year. For this purpose we soon will have three factories on assembly of cars, and, all of them, most likely, will be located in Europe. Naturally, basic volume of output will be made not by super cars. Their circulation will be not too big. The main locomotive should become … a crossover. We will show it next year, and at once in two variants – there will be a car in style of" a drop »and with more traditional for this class style« a rack ». It will be the big crossover which will make a competition, probably, such car as Audi Q7», - has told in special interview for Avto@Mail. Ru Nikolay Fomenko.

The engines Performance

is completely new. In the case of petrol engines, as well as the standard 1.2/44 kW and the 1,2/51 kW, there is now a new supercharged 1.2 TSI with 63 kW and 77 kW performance variants. The more powerful version can also be ordered with a seven-speed dual clutch automatic DSG transmission system, which replaces the 6°automatic Tiptronic.

There is a new range of diesel engines comprising the three-cylinder 1.2 TDI CR with an output of 55 kW, the four-cylinder 1.6 TDI CR/55 kW and 1.6 TDI CR with 66 and 77 kW performance variants. All the diesels use the common rail fuel injection system and are fitted with a DPF fixed particle filter. Both the petrol and diesel engines fully meet the EU 5 emission norm.

A design change has made the exterior of the Fabia more dynamic and robust. The horizontal line of the bumper with its new grill, the modified visor and bonnet and the newly shaped headlamps and fog lights fitted with a Day Light function have optically expanded the front section of the vehicle.

The palette of colours is enlivened with Pacific blue (a non-metallic paint) and the new Rallye green. The offer of wheels now includes a duo of 16" Elba and Comet light alloy wheels and the new Comoros cover for 14" or the Sattellite for 15" steel wheels. And for the first time the Fabia can now be ordered with a roof railing (in black or a black/silver combination).

Many changes have been made to the interior, which have increased not only passenger comfort but also improved the functionality and handling of the vehicle.

The new four and three-spoke multifunction steering wheels allow for easier control of the radio or telephone, and the aesthetics of the interior have been improved by an instrument panel which offers new functions and controls along with new graphic design.

The air-conditioning control panels look better and have improved buttons. The new covers include the Domino and Chess designs and also the Drops Blue pattern.

At a joint press conference held in Washington D.C., BMW and Carbon Motors announced a strategic partnership that will see the German automaker supplying the American law enforcement vehicle manufacturer with diesel engines.

The agreement calls for delivery of BMW's 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder diesel engines complete with cooling and exhaust gas system and 6-speed automatic transmission for the Carbon E7 rear-wheel drive purpose-built police vehicle.

In the U.S. market 335d and X5 35d, the straight-six diesel produces 265-horsepower at 4,200 rpm and 425 lb-ft of peak torque between 1,750 and 2,250 rpm, while returning 23mpg city / 36mpg highway and 19mpg city / 26mpg highway respectively.

Carbon Motors, which was founded in 2003, said it is estimated that the U.S. law enforcement fleet consumes around 1.5 billion gallons of gasoline and emits an estimated 14 million tons of CO2 annually.

The company believes that the BMW-diesel-powered Carbon E7 will cut both figures by up to 40 percent.

"America's largest, and most visible fleets of government-owned vehicles, now in excess of 450,000 units, deserve the most durable, efficient and reliable powertrain available," said William Santana Li, chairman and chief executive officer, Carbon Motors Corporation.

"The strength of BMW as a partner will allow us to provide our women and men in uniform with a diesel engine capable of the performance they desire along with the significant reduction in fuel consumption and emissions that U.S. taxpayers need."

When it enters full production, the Carbon C7 will compete with the new FWD/AWD Ford Taurus Interceptor powered by either naturally aspirated or turbocharged V6s, GM's new RWD Chevy Caprice Police car offered with V8 powertrains and the current Dodge Charger. The police car market in the U.S. comprises about 65,000 vehicles annually.

The R-Edition adds even more racing credential to the car, with carbon fiber throughout, big brakes and adjustable ride height for getting back home again. Going through the list of components of the base vehicle, it's hard to find areas for improvement, and in many respects the R-Edition is left untouched.

Reading through the standard car's spec sheet is enough to get any gearhead's juices flowing: a mid-mounted dry-sump twin-turbo v12 engine displacing 5.5L generates maximum output of 720hp (529kW) at 5,750rpm and 680lb-ft (920Nm) of torque at 4,000rpm. For times when 720hp seems like a bit too much, a switch can turn it back to a more docile 550hp (410kW). The same basic powertrain is found in the R-Edition, though since the company has room to lovingly hand-build only 12 of these cars each year, almost anything is up to owner customization.

The mid-engine rear-wheel drive configuration is sandwiched into a 100% carbon fiber chassis, and power is routed through a six-speed sequential gearbox. The standard Tramontana isn't exactly heavy at 2,990lb (1,362kg), but the R-Edition is 202lb (92kg) lighter, or about 2,800lb (1,268kg). That gives the roadster a power-to-weight ratio of just 3.88lb/hp (2.39kg/kW), enabling acceleration to 0-62mph (100km/h) in a very likely traction-limited 3.6 seconds, 0-124mph (200km/h) ticks by in just 10.15 seconds and the R-Edition carries on to a top speed of 214mph (345km/h). Weight is distributed 42% front/58% rear for balanced cornering and braking dynamics.

Fat 345/30 rear and 245/35 front tires wrap the 20in rims to provide enough rear grip to handle the raucous horsepower of the V12 engine, while a quick steering rack ensures responsive and direct handling. Bringing the show to a halt are a set of 380x34mm carbon ceramic discs and six-piston calipers at all four corners. Despite all of the high-performance leanings of the car, there is still 55L of storage space and a well-turned out - if Spartan and snug - interior.

Pricing is set at €385,000 ($490,700), or about half the price that had been previously discussed. Eight of the non-R-Edition cars have been built so far, but the Spanish company hopes the addition of the R-model to the line will help them reach full capacity.
