Porsche Hybrid made its place in the world when it came out with the Cayenne hybrid SUV. Even though it was a luxury car it still drove like a sports car and unlike any other SUV, the Porsche Cayenne had precision and the customers loved it. The original "bellied" look, the five seat cabin, dual range, and precise steering and brakes, made it appealing.

The newest model has improved greatly from the Classic Cayenne. The body style has been upped; eight-speed automatic transmissions have been added to the wheel and come in four different types: the beginning Cayenne, S model, Cayenne Turbo and the S Hybrid. The gas/electric model is the newest yet, but the customers seem to love it. The mileage on the Porsche Hybrid is much higher than other cars. Also when the driver lifts his foot the car shifts into electric mode and is able to reach high speeds.

If the car is stopped for too long it will automatically shut down the engine, thanks to the new Auto-Stop feature. In the U.S. the driver must turn on this function, but in the European one it has already been activated. But as with every luxury car there is a drawback the case of the Porsche Hybrid it's the price, the simplest model begins at $46,000 and can go up to $100,000. The hybrid is much more almost $67,000, which makes it the most expensive SUV on the market. But this hasn't been able to stop sales in the least, and about two hundred and eighty thousand have been sold.

Customers have also complained about the cramped space of the rear seat, and small cargo area. The gadgets that come along with the car are also difficult to understand so most of the buyers just use them as show. The 2011 model hasn't been tested yet it still has the protection application: Park Assist, Stability Management (which makes the car stable in dangerous circumstances), Lane Change Assistant, Cruise Control and Dynamic arch Lights. It comes with a four-year fifty thousand-mile warranty.

Some buyers have said that the SUV doesn't do very well over tough terrain. And this is sad but true, even though it has all this impressive off-road hardware, it still struggles in rough terrain. The Cayenne has only one very close competitor and this is the Volkswagen Touareg. the are almost the same but the Touareg starts at $6,000 less than the Porsche, and many consider it a better option of choice then the Cayenne. But if you want a car that is sleek, has a sporty look and has a fine driving record, then the Porsche Hybrid is what you should get even if it might cost a little more.
